prominent themes this year:

hard work
discipline
perseverance
staying open-minded
one day at a time

adopting the growth mindset has proved to be extremely helpful this year. i am honestly less concerned about knowing what exactly is my calling and instead, i focus on all the tings i like doing and want to learn more of. i have a reliable partner whom i can always count on to support me. oh, we also adopted a dog earlier this year. his name is chau chau and he is the most lovable creature in the world.

on some days, i feel the poetry bursting out of each breath i take. most days i insist on taking the high road, being responsible and showing up to the places and to the people i’ve promised, no matter how tired or unmotivated i am at that moment. because i’ve learned that showing up is the most important thing — i know it sounds cliche but the universe really works like that. you win by being present. you win by trying. you don’t need to be perfect but you need to be there. with your eyes and heart open.

i am still a work in progress but i am learning to be kinder to myself and to those around me. i am turning 30 in less than 3 weeks. how on earth did that happen?

but the real question is how are you going to use your time wisely from now on?
